NVU and it's "portable" cousin Komposer have been a great tools for updating and managing this website after its introduction. NVU is an open source editing tool that uses a GUI interface .

Following the launch of this site, most documents (DOC, RTF, ODT, PDF) have been edited or created using the Open Source office suite Open Office.  Almost all the functionality of Microsoft Office without any of the cost.

Portable Apps are applications that are open source and self contained.  They can be run from a USB drive and leave nothing on the host PC. Portable Apps versions of NVU/Komposer/Open Office/Firefox/G.I.M.P. and others have been used in the maintenance of this site..
